We would rather be clear than clever. Here is what Capital Selector is, what it is not, and what the numbers on this site do and do not mean.
Capital Selector is a marketplace, not a lender
Capital Selector is a financing marketplace and advisory service. We do not lend money or make credit decisions. We help match businesses to third-party lenders and funding providers across our network. Any financing you receive comes from, and is underwritten by, a third-party lender under its own terms.
Being matched is not an approval or an offer
When we say your business is "matched" to options, we mean your profile aligns with programs offered by lenders in our network. Matching is not a credit decision, a commitment to lend, a guarantee of funding, or an offer of financing. Approval, amounts, rates, and terms are determined solely by the lender after its own review.
Credit checks: what happens, and when
Exploring your options, using the readiness tool, and talking with the advisor do not involve a credit pull and have no impact on your credit. When you ask to see real offers, a soft credit check may run as part of matching. A soft check does not affect your score. A lender performs a full credit review only if you move forward on an offer, and only with your permission. We tell you before that happens.
Merchant cash advances
A merchant cash advance is the purchase of a portion of your future receivables for an upfront sum. It is an advance, not a loan. Its cost is expressed as a factor rate, not an annual percentage rate (APR). Remittance is typically taken as a fixed percentage of daily or weekly revenue, or as a fixed daily or weekly ACH. Total dollars remitted are known up front, but the timing depends on your sales volume, and frequent remittance can affect cash flow. Confirm the full structure with the provider before you commit.

They are not quotes, offers, or predictions of what your business will receive. Your actual options depend on your business profile and the lender.
Availability and licensing
Product availability, terms, and eligibility vary by state and by lender. Capital Selector does not actively solicit business in states that require licensing we do not currently hold for the activity involved. Nothing on this site is an offer to residents of any state where such an offer would require a license or registration we do not hold. We continue to expand where we are able to operate.
Your information
During matching we collect only soft business and contact details. Sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, bank credentials, and signatures is collected later, on a secure step hosted by our lending platform, not on this site or in the advisor chat.
