Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Capital Selector, operated by Capital Selector LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Capital Selector," "we," "us"), handles information in connection with our website, advisor, and services (the "Service"). It does not cover the practices of the third-party lenders or providers you may be matched with; their own privacy policies govern what they do with your information.
Information you give us
To help match you, we collect the business and contact details you share with the advisor or our forms: business name, your name, email, and phone; and soft profile inputs such as time in business, monthly revenue, a credit-score range, requested amount, industry, and use of funds. We also keep the content of your conversation with the advisor so you can pick it up where you left off.
What we deliberately do not collect here
We do not ask for or store sensitive identifiers on this site or in the advisor chat, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank login credentials, or payment-card numbers. When an application requires those, they are collected on a separate secure step hosted by our lending-technology platform, not by us. We also do not store full credit reports; a lender pulls credit on its own secure step, only with your permission.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical and usage data automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and interactions, using cookies and similar technologies (including Google Tag Manager and analytics). This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Information from third parties
When you reach us through a connected messaging or social channel, we receive the contact and message information our communications provider passes along. When you are matched or apply, we receive status information back from our lending-technology platform and lenders (for example, that an application advanced or an offer was made).
How we use information
We use information to: match you to lenders and obtain options; provide, maintain, and improve the Service and the advisor; communicate with you, including sending sign-in codes and application updates, and marketing where you have not opted out; measure and analyze usage; and protect against fraud and misuse and comply with law.
How we share information
We share your information with: third-party lenders and funding providers, and our lending-technology platform, to obtain and process financing options for you; service providers who operate the Service under contract (for example, cloud hosting and authentication, our communications platform, email delivery, and analytics providers); and authorities or others where required by law or to protect rights and safety. We may transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your information for others' independent marketing.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and tags (including Google Tag Manager and analytics tools) to understand traffic and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out tools. Some cookies are necessary for the site and sign-in to function.
Your communication choices
Sign-in codes and application updates are transactional and necessary to use your account. For marketing or non-essential messages, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or the opt-out instructions in a message. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages tied to an active application.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, pursue the financing you asked us to help with, comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls, and we keep the most sensitive steps on our lending platform's secure environment. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to opt out of certain sharing. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know the categories of information collected and shared and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Children
The Service is for business use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
